Ramadan is a special month for Muslims, believers in Islam. They fast (they don’t eat or drink anything) from sunrise to sunset for a month. The dates of Ramadan change every year, and this year, Ramadan is in March. I went to a Turkish restaurant to buy kebab for dinner last week, and I talked to the owner. I knew he was religious, and I was wondering how he runs a restaurant during Ramadan. He usually opens the restaurant at 11 am, but during Ramadan he doesn’t open until 3:30 pm. He starts fasting at 4:30 am and cannot eat anything until 6 pm. I think he has one of the hardest jobs. He has to make food when he is very hungry, but he can’t eat it! (128 words)
