About a year ago, my husband and I watched a TV program about shingles and learned how terrible this disease was. I got vaccinated in January, but my husband did not get the vaccine. One Saturday evening, a red rash suddenly appeared on the left side of his face. We hurried to a clinic, and the doctor said it was shingles. The next morning, his face was so swollen that he could not see at all. It was difficult to find a clinic that was open on Sunday, but we found one and got medicine for him. It was a terrible situation, but one good thing was that it was before the Obon holidays. Because of this, he could visit the hospital many times and get good medical care. Even though he is still sick, he is doing his best. Please be careful of shingles! (145 words)
